Millennium Challenge Account - Tanzania

Stakeholders committees Print

During consultative meetings in the proposed project areas, stakeholders have demonstrated an outstanding level of enthusiasm and overwhelming support to the prospects of having such projects. It became apparent that regional leadership in the target areas are more than willing to provide the required assistance geared towards raising the quality of life and social well being of the people in the program areas.

Consequently, it is proposed to form stakeholders committees of interested parties, but based on project areas. These bodies will be made up of representatives from local/regional government, private sector, and civil society and it is anticipated that they will have more interest in following up implementation of the program and assessing its outputs and outcomes.

Stakeholders committees are to be formed in the following project areas; namely;

  1. Dar es Salaam and Morogoro
  2. Kigoma
  3. Lake Zone (Kagera, Mwanza and Mara)
  4. Mafia
  5. Mtwara and Ruvuma
  6. Rukwa and Mbeya
  7. Tanga
  8. Zanzibar
