MCA-T has signed contract with two consulting companies which will carry out review and updating of detailed design, cost estimates, Environmental impact assessment (ESIA), Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) and preparation of tender documents for upgrading of Tunduma - Sumbawanga road (224.5) km and Songea - Namtumbo road 61 km. Africon Ltd from South Africa will carry out the activities for Tunduma- Sumbawanga road while EGIS BCEOM International from France will carry similar assignment for Songea - Namtumbo road.
