| Inauguration Of The bid Challenge Independent Appeal Panel For MCA-Tanzania |

The Chairman fo the MCA Tanzania Governing Board Mr. Ramadhani M. Khijjaj has inagurated MCA-t Bid Challenge Independent Appeal Panel (IAP) on 22nd October 2009. The appeal Board has the authority to require the MCA-T to revise the procurement proceedings to conform to the applicable guidelines, suspend the procurement in order to preserve the commercial opportunity pending the outcome of the appeal, terminate the procurement, order a new procurement, or require the MCA-T to compensate a successful Challenge for loss or damage suffered to the extend of the cost preparation of the bid challenge. Together with this inauguration, the Bid Challenge Independent Appeal panel had an opportunity to ubdergo a one day workshop. The workshop aimed to equip the panel with MCA-T procurement process as well as being briefed on the details of their role as members of the Bid Challenge Independent Appeal Panel.
