The Approved projects for Water, Energy and Transport sector are as follows;

Transport Sector

  1. Upgrading/Construction of Tunduma Sumbawanga Road to Bitumen Standards (224.5km)
  2. Upgrading/Construction of Tanga Horohoro Road to Bitumen Standard (68 km).
  3. Upgrading of Mtwara Corridor;
    • Namtumbo Songea Road (61.km)
    • Peramiho Mbinga Road (78.0 km)
  4. Upgrading of the Mafia Island Airport
  5. Upgrading/Construction of five (5) rural roads in Pemba (Approximately 35.0 km) to Bitumen Standard;
  • Mzambarauni Takao Pandani Finya Road (8.3 km)
  • Mzambarauni Karimu Mapofu Road (8.3 km)
  • Bahanansa Daya Mtambwe Road (13.1 km)
  • Chwale Road (2.0 km) and
  • Kipangani Kangagani road (3 km)


Energy Sector

  1. Rehabilitation of Transmission and Distribution Network and Extension of Distribution System in Dodoma, Iringa, Mbeya, Morogoro, Mwanza and Tanga regions.
  2. Development of Malagarasi Small Hydropower plant (8MW) and power supply to Kigoma, Kasulu and Uvinza towns.
  3. Construction of the second Submarine Cable (100MW) to connect power from Mainland Tanzania to Zanzibar.


Water

  1. Improvement of Morogoro Municipality water supply i.e Rehabilitation of Mambogo water intake and Mafiga Treatment Plant.
  2. Expansion of Lower Ruvu water Treatment Plant
  3. Reduction of Non-Revenue water in Dar es Salaam
